That is the front porch you see here. The garage is attached in the back of the house.

Gideon's First Outing

At two days old, he's got on his jacket and is ready to face the world!

We went to see the new house. Brandon was quick to claim his room. Gideon was left in the car because it was too cold, so he might not get his first choice of room--that's the breaks when you're the youngest, I guess.

Jordon enjoyed the meals being delivered and especially drinking cold water with a straw.

What a great big brother. Brandon was so excited to meet Gideon and he's doing a good job helping him get settled into our family.

Some bonding time with daddy. What a little peanut head!

Pete's mom has come to help us out these first few days of being a family of 5. Her help has been invaluable and I'm already getting a bit nervous to see her go.

Welcome Gideon Asher Nees!

We arrived at the hospital at 10am after about 24 hours of mild contractions at home.

Labor was difficult to say the least, but we got through it with no drugs!

Gideon means: warrior, one who cuts down

Asher means: happy, blessed

Gideon Asher was born on Saturday, March 7, 2009

at 3:17pm.

He weighs 7lbs 12oz and is 20in long.

In comparison, Brandon was 6lb 13oz and 19+ inches long (also born a couple weeks earlier)

Jordon was 7lb 6oz and 22inches long.

He has much lighter hair than his older brothers did at birth.
